Disorders of vitreous body and globe

(Globe, Vitreous Humour)

The vitreous body (vitreous meaning "glass-like"; from Latin vitreus 'glassy', from vitrum 'glass', and -eus) is the clear gel that fills the space between the lens and the retina of the eyeball (the vitreous chamber) in humans and other vertebrates. A globe is a spherical model of Earth, of some other celestial body, or of the celestial sphere.
