El sistema musculoesquelético humano (también conocido como el sistema locomotor humano, y anteriormente el sistema de actividad) es un sistema de órganos que brinda a los humanos la capacidad de moverse utilizando sus sistemas muscular y esquelético. El tejido conectivo (también llamado tejido fibroso) es uno de los cuatro tipos principales de tejido animal, junto con el tejido epitelial, el tejido muscular y el tejido nervioso.
